Happy anniversary to Boy Meets Boy! I love reading romance stories as much as I love writing them. (Sometimes more.) When I’m choosing new books to read, I often rely on reviews, like those here on Boy Meets Boy or from readers. So in the spirit of honoring reader recommendations, I decided to use this opportunity to ask my readers for their thoughts on my books. Here are some of their responses:

Your books give me the greatest gift  - a safe place to relax, have fun and feel good. There is something to love about every single character, but I especially love how every man finds the yin to his yang. Be it a neurotic rock star who finds himself and true love, or a maths professor finding his confidence and joy in a contractor, the love is real. It lasts. The HEA is a given, and in the current world, I need every bit of joy I can find. My favorite dialogue would have to be a tie between Oliver & Jamie in Not a Game (such clever funny guys) or Trevor & Ford in Strange Bedfellows (such big feelings and drive). To summarize, I adore the smartly written strong men you conjure for your readers ❤ - Shee Reader

My absolute favourite scene is Mitch's declaration in Chapter 7 of Blue Mountain. His absolute selflessness and steadfastness that Simon is his mate and would come before all others epitomizes the alpha/omega fated mates storyline. Makes my heart swoon :) -- Becky L

One of my fave CC books is Love at First Sight. There’s such love, such earnestness, that you can’t help but root for Jonathan. -- Bijou Bleu

One part that always makes me cry is in Love At First Sight when Jonathan says to David, “It’s like you see me.”  Gets me every time.  There’s sweetness in every one of your books, but to me, that book is the sweetest. -- Meredith

The Half of Us...easily my favorite.  Incredibly developed characters; relationship development that is not rushed--and the story is very focused on the relationship development, something that I LOVE in any romance book; scorching hot; and the audio version is so fantastic that I have lost count (like really, truly have lost count) of how many times I've listened to it.  I also love how we get to see back into the lives of the other characters from this series/collection--this made the whole series more satisfying overall. -- Carra Saig

One of the MANY reasons I enjoyed "Johnnie" so much was that it touched on a topic that is important to our daily interactions, but is often missed: perception and visibility. There is no one "reality" because everyone has individual experiences that shape what and how they perceive the world, and until we can be more empathetic and outward-focused, we will continue to overlook, dismiss and sometimes hurt people who don't share our views. Moreover, we close ourselves off to opportunities to expand our horizons in potentially amazing ways, a concept "Johnnie" captured beautifully. – Jovan

The Family Collection was one of the first series I listened to when I first turned to m/m.  I still think More Than Anything is one of my favourite m/m/m.  – ErrynB

Thank you so much to readers and bloggers for helping us choose our next great read!

Short Bio: Cardeno C. - CC to friends - is a hopeless romantic who wants to add a lot of happiness and a few "awwws" into a reader's day. Writing is a nice break from real life as a corporate type and volunteer work with gay rights organizations. Cardeno's stories range from sweet to intense, contemporary to paranormal, long to short, but they always include strong relationships and walks into the happily-ever-after sunset.

  1. My favorite is from the book, Where He Ends and I Begin.
    - “I understand, Nate. I get the concept of infinity. It's like the two of us, like our friendship. No end, no limit. We're forever. That's infinity, right?”

  2. I have so many favorite couples, but when I think of a quote, my favorite has to be from Ethan to Miguel in Until Forever Comes.
"Always," I whispered. "I'll always come back to you."

I’m going to gift wrap it, slap a big, ugly bow on top, and send it to you

    for your birthday.”

  4. I have two:

That made me think of one of the books that I‟d read to Simon.
    “You‟re like a wolf.”
    “What does that mean?”
    I laughed.
    “You mate for life.”
He turned his head toward me and gazed into my eyes.
    “I sure hope so.”
Zach to Aaron in "He Completes Me"

“Hey, you can either earn it, win it, or marry it,” Noah said. “Seems to me it’s your house under option number three.
Noah to Caleb in "The One Who Saves Me"

  8. You have a number of witty lines I like, but this one goes deeper, from In Your Eyes, “Tying is about connecting with someone who can better you, someone who can give you what you’re lacking, someone who can fulfill you and make you whole.” -
