Guest Review: Love in Spades (Four Kings Security #1) by Charlie Cochet

When the cards are stacked against you, the Kings will even the odds.

Ex-Special Forces soldier Anston “Ace” Sharpe is fighting a different battle these days—one involving the world of private security across the state of Florida. As part owner of Four Kings Security, Ace and his fellow Kings tackle everything from armed transport and investigations to cyber intelligence and executive protection. Cocky, fearless, and brash, Ace isn’t afraid to take risks.

After years of working alongside his father, Colton Connolly is ready to take the helm at Connolly Maritime, but his father’s retirement is put on hold when Colton begins receiving death threats. If that isn’t bad enough, his father signs a contract with Four Kings Security to provide Colton with round-the-clock protection, despite his adamant refusal. Colton’s life has been turned upside down, the last thing he needs is a shadow, especially in the form of infuriating, sexy-as-sin Ace Sharpe, who seems to be on a mission to drive Colton mad.

Sparks fly the moment Colton and Ace meet on a sultry night club dance floor. But getting involved with a client, even one as fiery and beautiful as Colton Connolly, is a line Ace is unwilling to cross. Colton might be attracted to Ace, but he’d been burned before. He might be willing to put his life in Ace’s hands, but not his heart.

As the Florida nights heat up, so does their passion, and Ace and Colton are faced with a difficult choice—take the plunge and risk it all, or play it safe and walk away?

If Ace can keep a deadly threat from robbing Colton of a future….

Reviewer: Shee Reader

Ace is in private security. Rule one is do NOT get involved with the client. He knows this. He tries so very hard (snort) to keep away from Colton, but resistance is futile! Colton is attracted to Ace from their first meeting, and is furious with his father for arranging security for him as soon as he finds out! Colton is a spitfire, and just what Ace needs. There are bad guys a plenty in this elaborate tale, and trying to keep a high profile and wealthy man safe in the midst of complex social events is a real challenge for the kings, but one they are uniquely skilled for.

I loved the relationships between all the Kings. There is Ace’s cousin Lucky and the other surviving special forces team members. I liked Kingston (King) the boss a whole lot as he sought to lead his men from their tragic service in the military to their top of the pile security company. I cannot wait for his story in particular. The end of this book does set up rather nicely for the next story about Red and Colton’s friend Laz, which should be amazing!

The book had plenty of sexy times, suspense and threat, it is glamorous and exciting whilst still telling a love story.

This book is full of larger than life characters, and I can’t wait to see the other ‘Kings’ and maybe even the supporting characters (Frank and Joshua?) meet their matches!

Can one drunken night in Vegas and a pair of wedding rings lead to a happily ever after?

Love has never been a good bet for Chris, so going on a Vegas wedding trip for his friends is bittersweet. Especially when Ant, the last man to break his trust, is suddenly along for the ride. Which explains why Chris wakes up in his hotel room with the mother of all hangovers. Not so much why Ant is in his bed ... or worse, wearing a matching wedding band.

Ant invited himself on a Vegas trip, gambling on a second chance with the man who got away. He never dreamt he'd be the one with a wedding ring on his finger, but if their predicament gets Chris talking to him again, he'll make the most of it.

Between keeping their secret from friends and trying to figure out what really happened that first crazy night in Vegas, passions ignite. If they can hold on to their fresh start, maybe the Vegas motto doesn't have to hold true: What happens in Vegas doesn't have to stay there.

Audiobook Review: Once Upon A Wolf (Wayward Wolves #1) by Rhys Ford

Gibson Keller's days are fairly routine: wake up early, get some work done, drink lots of coffee, and take care of Ellis, his older brother, stuck in wolf form after coming home from the war. It's a simple life made up of long runs on two legs - or four - and quiet evenings...until Ellis chases a handsome man off a cliff and into the frozen waters beside their cabin, changing Gibson's life forever.

For Zach Thomas, buying an old B&B is a new start. Leaving behind his city life, he longs to find peace and quiet, and hiking the trails behind his property seems safe enough - right up to the moment an enormous black wolf chases him into a lake, nearly drowning him. Discovering werewolves are real astounds him, but not as much as the man who rescues him from the icy water, then walks into Zach's heart as if he owns it.

Loving a werewolf - loving Gibson with all his secrets - has its challenges, but Zach believes their love is worth fighting for, especially since his heart knows the big, bad wolf is really a prince in disguise.

Narrated by: Derrick McClain
Listening Length: 3 hours and 49 minutes

I quite enjoyed this understated foray into the shifter world by Rhys Ford. It’s not a light your pants on fire type of romance, nor filled to the brim with her descriptive prose, but it's still a decent start to a new series.

As per the blurb, Zach inadvertently runs across a huge wolf and straight into the arms of said wolf’s human brother Gibson. It wouldn’t be a Ford story if there wasn’t at least insta-lust and this was no different. However, it takes some time for Zach to wrap his brain around the existence of werewolves despite the strong mutual attraction. It doesn’t hurt at all that he greatly admires Gibson’s steadfast devotion towards his wolfy brother Ellis, who’s stuck in his animal form as a coping mechanism to past war trauma.

Narrated by Derrick McClain, I know he’s a favorite and with good reason. He’s got a great baritone, emotes well, and varies his voices expertly. However, for some unknown reason, there’s just one little quirk of his that drives me batty. It’s not as strong as it has been in some of his other works, but it was there enough to be distracting. If not for this one thing, he’d be in my top 5 for sure. As I always say, audios are a personal thing, just like one’s reading experience and unfortunately, McClain is not an automatic win for me.

Regardless, if you like shifters, if you like a slow burn, this is for you! Many have mentioned that half the focus is on Gibson’s brother Ellis and his painful steps towards healing, and that’s true. However, I didn’t feel it detracted much from Gibson and Zach. I like to think that this was nice segue towards Ellis’s story, and I look forward to more of everyone in the sequel! Overall, this was sweet, interesting, and of course sexy, and it's quite doubtful fans of Ford won't enjoy her new endeavor into the world of werewolves!

About Inside Darkness
He’s come in from the field, but the darkness has followed him home.

After a decade as an aid worker, Cameron Donnelly returns home jaded, tired, and with more than just a minor case of PTSD. Plagued by recurring nightmares but refusing to admit he has a problem, Cam quickly spirals into an alcohol-infused depression, and everyone around him is at a loss for how to help.

Journalist Tyler Ang met Cam on a reporting assignment in Kenya, and their first encounters were rife with hostility and sexual tension. Back in New York, their paths continually cross, and each time, Cam’s brokenness reminds Ty more and more of his own difficult childhood. Letting Cam in goes against Ty’s instinct to live life autonomously, but the damaged aid worker manages to sneak past his guard.

Their relationship is all sharp corners and rough edges, and just as they’re figuring out how to fit together, a life-threatening accident puts it all in jeopardy. If they want a future together, both will have to set aside their egos and learn to carry each other’s burdens.

Tag Team Review: A Chance at Love by Silvia Violet

Can a confident younger man help Darren learn to let go?

On the flight back home to San Diego, Chance Emerson meets an intriguing older man. They flirt, and Chance hopes for more, but the man never calls. Months later, they meet again at a charity auction. Chance decides this time he isn’t walking away.

Darren Walsh can’t stop thinking about the gorgeous grad student who almost had him joining the mile-high club. When Chance suggests they hook up, Darren says the only thing he can—yes.

From their first moments together, Chance and Darren know there’s more between them than lust, but their differences in age and income make a real relationship challenging. They decide to keep things secret, yet as they learn more about each other, Darren realizes he wants something real and open. To have that, he’ll need to convince Chance that he has a place in Darren’s world, and Darren will have to take some risks of his own.

Collective Heart Love Score!

Shee Reader - 5 Hearts

Oh my gosh, where do I start? I just loved this book!

Chance is living his best life, then he meets a stuffy but hot guy on the plane home to San Diego, and realised he wants this guy too. Darren finds Chance annoying and do very attractive but fights the attraction. On arrival, Chance gives Darren his number, but despite wanting to call, Darren doesn’t. When he meets Chance again at one of his foundation’s charity events, he can’t resist a second time.

This story is charming, sweet, sexy and real. The writing is terrific with believable, well rounded characters, smart dialogue and even an annoying best friend. There’s food, an adorable dog, a lonely older man and a young, spirited PhD student. This book has everything.

I loved that even though there was drama and angst, the characters mostly tried to talk things through, but after a little separation, Darren cals Chance when he needs a friend, and Chance comes running. The ending is perfectly sweet and satisfying and includes a giant Toblerone from the airport gift shop. There is nothing not to love about this book!

Highly recommended!

Ann - 4 1/4 Hearts

Well, wasn’t this just a delicious little nugget of May/December dirty talk wrapped up in mounds of perfectly sweet fluff.

I love May/December stories when the characters make sense together and complement one another beyond what I expect and A Chance at Love did that quite well. The meet - cute was in fact, quite cute and I believed the attraction between Chance and Darren. I also liked how Darren didn’t call right away and that chance brought them together again. It read realistically for where Darren was in his life and added some necessary tension to the story without resorting to too much angst. Not that some angst didn’t come later though . . .

Both guys were on the same page from the beginning with where the relationship was going, or not going. Thankfully the reader is on on their thoughts and knowing that they were both falling hard was such a treat. I loved that both characters spoke their minds and were openly affectionate and shared their feelings with one another when they were alone. When they were out together as “friends” they weren’t fooling anyone with their moony eyes at each other.

These two have chemistry that is off ALL the charts. All. The. Charts. Their complementary needs are so good and everytime they were together they’d learn a new little something and push another new button. They totally got off on one another and Chance opened so many doors for Darren. Darren’s most hidden fantasies are laid bare by Chance and Chance is a master at the dirty talk, which I am a big, Big, BIG fan of. When dirty talk is done right it can take a love story to another level for me, it can take a sweet relationship to extra spicy and give it a level of depth that can otherwise be lacking. This is me justifying my love of Chance and his deliciously filthy mouth.

The angst I mentioned before was reasonable and kind of necessary. Everything couldn’t be too perfect considering they did have some misgivings about the difference in their ages, but the issues that had weren’t only about age but about socioeconomics. That last bit was all external, but it was something they’d have to deal with and that would take a strong foundation in a relationship that they just hadn’t had time to build up yet. But, they had too many things going for them to not give it a go and the ending was perfect for them. I was worried the ending would be rushed considering I was getting up there in percentage count on the old Kindle and resolution still needed to be had, but I was pleasantly surprised with how it all worked out.

It’s also set in my hometown, America’s Finest City, thankyouverymuch, and that’s always fun. The author did a great job of representing San Diego.

The romance and steam in this story guarantees is a spot on my re-read shelf.

Imagine his shock when the family isn't a Kardashian clone, but Ryan Flores, the only professional baseball player to ever come out of the closet.

Catch Me Teaser 2

EXCERPT
And he was the epitome of the California boy, Ryan thought as he watched Wyatt carrying his board towards the sand. Blond hair bright under the sun, the tall lanky build, all that tanned skin rippling with muscle.

Ryan hadn’t thought there was a place he could look better than naked in his bed, but he was surprised to discover that he’d been wrong.

There was something in the quicksilver of Wyatt’s smile as he turned to make sure Ryan was still following him. It made Ryan want more from him than just the admittedly mind-blowing sex they had had, which was something he’d thought he’d left behind years ago.

He thought about texting Tabitha and telling her she might be right, but she was already insufferable enough. Besides, if he didn’t tell her, he didn’t put it into words and the truth, while eye-opening, was also fucking terrifying.

“You coming?” Wyatt turned back fully this time, gracing Ryan not only with a quick glimpse of his bright smile, but his entire self. He looked worried, and Ryan wondered how long he’d been spacing out. Not something he usually did—and he’d already spent the morning doing it.

“Sorry,” Ryan apologized. “I was distracted by such a fantastic view.”

“I’ve always loved Huntington Beach,” Wyatt replied.

Ryan snorted. “Not the view I was talking about.”

Wyatt didn’t say anything but the look on his face was enough for Ryan to know that comment wouldn’t always go un-remarked upon. Eventually they would have to address the sexual tension simmering away between them. Eventually they would have to do something about it. And that day was one Ryan eagerly awaited and dreaded in equal parts.

“We gonna surf?” Wyatt asked as they set up their little camp over by one of the piers.

Ryan had tossed the wax over to Wyatt a few minutes before, and had been fidgeting with his tow strap since. He’d wanted to come out here and let the sun and the sand and the waves exorcise his bad mood, but now he wasn’t sure he even wanted to go in the water.

He wanted to sit on the sand and look at the sunlight on Wyatt’s hair, and ask him to tell him more about culinary school and Chicago and Terroir. Even about that nutjob Aquino.

Ryan was not used to wanting to pick social interaction over the adrenaline rush. It was weird, and he wasn’t sure he liked it.

“We’re here, aren’t we?” Ryan asked, shooting Wyatt a disbelieving look, even though all the hesitation had been on his end. He wasn’t ready to admit to anyone—never mind Wyatt—that he’d been contemplating something so out of character. “Last in the water buys burgers on the way home.

Guest Review: Mr. May (Calendar Men #5) by Bailey Bradford

Derrick Tovar thought posing for a calendar would be the most adventurous thing he’d ever do—boy, was he wrong!

Derrick Tovar always played it safe. He had a secure job, a retirement plan, five and ten-year goals… When he agreed to pose in skimpy clothing for a charity calendar, he figured that was one daring, out of character opportunity for him to do. It wasn’t that big of a risk, really.

Except it almost got him killed.

He’s having a little trouble dealing with that, but he soon meets a man who makes him want to dream big and take chances.

Reviewer: Shee Reader

I am absolutely loving this series! It’s full of fun, quick reads. Derrick is such a steady guy, he sort of needs the little shake up Niall brings. Niall is a fox shifter with his own gourmet hotdog cart. Derrick and he connect immediately, but like all the books in the series, there are dark forces at work alongside the cute sexy romance.

Niall is a mischievous and adventurous man who is a perfect match for Derrick. Niall’s need to throw himself off high things (albeit with a bungee cord attached) don’t make any sense to Derrick, but does feed into his anxiety and nightmares. Being poisoned whilst on the charity photo shoot has left physical and mental scars that Derrick is unable to fix by himself. Cue sexy little adventurer Niall…

I thoroughly enjoyed this book. The bad guys are bad, and the good guys are adorable.

Sander March is one season away from the pros, or so everyone tells him.

If only Sander had as much faith in his ability as the Cougar coaching staff does. Outwardly, he’s cocksure, borderline bitter, and slightly sarcastic. All that strut and sass hides a wounded soul though. Working to hide a brutal past filled with humiliation, abuse, and a family member who still haunts him, Sander has never found the kind of comfort and understanding he so desperately needs. Until he meets Mateo Castillo, a minor league baseball player for the nearby Elmira Egrets. Mateo and Sander click instantly, and a budding friendship develops between the two athletes.

Mateo then introduces Sander to his boyfriend, Noah Coombs, an aspiring manga comic creator. The three men find themselves bonding strongly, and that slowly gives way to sexual attraction. Eventually, Mateo and Noah invite Sander into their relationship. The path to happiness isn’t going to be easy for Sander as he faces criticism from his friends, teammates, and the press for his choices. The brash young star can handle all that, it’s when his abuser shows up in Cayuga that Sander fears not only for his own safety, but for the lives of the two men he has grown to love. Guest Review: Mr. April (Calendar Men #4) by Bailey Bradford

Will is certain there’s truth to the phrase that no good deed goes unpunished.

William Blunt thought posing for a charity calendar would be fun. Instead, it’s kind of tedious and stressful, and his boyfriend begins to display some alarmingly jealous behavior. Once the shoot is over—again—he’s ready to move on to other things, one of which is, eventually, a healthier relationship.

Breaking up isn’t hard to do, and Will vows to learn from his past dating disasters. What he doesn’t count on is meeting a man whose smile turns his world upside down. Baz is gorgeous, but more than that, he’s intriguing and funny, and he seems to be as interested in Will as Will is in him.

But all is not smooth sailing, and a murder complicates the personal issues both men are already struggling with.

Reviewer: Shee Reader

Will is a nurse who got involved with the charity photo shoot through his job. Geoffrey (the boyfriend) is a doctor at the hospital and Will knows they aren’t a good match, but stuck it out for several months despite the fact that Geoffrey is not good to him. After yet another argument, Will breaks up with Geoffrey, then it all started getting weird. Baz is working in his uncle's restaurant when the lovely Will comes in to eat. Baz is instantly attracted and the wooing commences apace!

Will is a charming character who get embroiled in all kinds of drama following the charity photo shoot. Baz is really likeable too, but their sweet little love story is tainted by murder and mischief. I really enjoyed this read. It’s a quick one at only 127 pages, but is none the worse for that. Its cute, funny, sexy and a bit scary. I’ve enjoyed the whole series so far.

I really like that there are shifters in the stories, but this isn’t the main cause of the storyline or the angst. It’s the same really with the queerness of the main characters. It isn’t the main focus, it just is. I like that.

Recommended.

“I can drive myself tonight,” Kyle says as he rummages through his closet for the third time in the past five minutes. Jenny’s been here for fifteen, amused as he worked himself into a panic, but now her arms are crossed over her chest, and she’s moving into impatient territory as he can’t settle on what he wants to wear. “You and Charlotte should head out.”

Tonight, Kyle’s two best friends, Jenny and Charlotte, are meeting his Dom for the first time.

Kyle’s been crushing on Aidan since the first time he saw him at Enchanting Encounters, the kink club he’s been frequenting for years now. After he managed to catch Aidan’s attention, they had a two-week trial period to see if they were compatible beyond physical attraction.

Now that they’ve extended their play to a three-month commitment, Kyle figures it’s time Aidan met the most important people in his life.

Well, that, and Jenny was determined to meet Aidan, whether Kyle was there or not, and he doesn’t need Jenny scaring him off.

“We’re not leaving you behind,” Jenny says. She sprawls across Kyle’s bed, making herself comfortable.

“Absolutely not,” Charlotte agrees, wandering in. She lies down next to Jenny, resting her head on Jenny’s stomach. “I’m not sure you’d ever make it.”

“Besides, if you drive in with me and Charlotte and we have to leave early, then you’ll have no choice but to catch a ride home with your man.”

“Huh,” Kyle says. It’s a good point. It’s a Wednesday night which means Aidan has afternoon classes tomorrow. Maybe he could go home with Aidan. Or have Aidan come home with him. As long as there’s bed sharing involved, Kyle isn’t picky on whose bed they sleep in.

“Never say I don’t do anything for you,” Jenny tells him. Then, “Put down that shirt. It’s basically see-through.”

“It looks good on me,” Kyle points out, but he puts the shirt back because it’s not appropriate for where they’re going. He picks up one of his polos and glances at his small collection of dress shirts. “Is this a date?”

“Ugh,” Jenny groans.

“Would it be bad if it was?” Charlotte asks.

“You’ve already seen each other naked,” Jenny says. “This can’t be more intimidating than that.”

“We haven’t actually seen each other naked,” Kyle says. That is something he’s going to change as soon as possible. “And you’re trying to distract me. Scenes are scenes and dates are dates. They’re different.”

“Put a damn shirt on so we can go,” Jenny says.

Kyle grabs a long-sleeve thermal to throw on. Shirt and jeans on, he only has one thing left to do. “Overnight bag.”

“I take it back,” Jenny says. “You can drive yourself, and every minute you’re late is a minute I have to ask Aidan questions.”

“Nope, you said you were giving me a ride. No takebacks.”

Packing an overnight bag is quicker than dressing himself for this maybe-date. Socks, boxers, pajamas, a black V-neck, his favorite briefs, and a toothbrush. He already has condoms and lube stashed in his bag, and he can’t think of anything else he might need.

“All set,” Kyle says.

“Fucking finally.”

“On second thought.” Kyle runs a hand through his hair. “Maybe…”

“No,” Jenny says. She jumps out of bed so she can slam Kyle’s bathroom door shut, cutting him off from his comb and his hair gel, and Kyle dissolves into laughter.

“All right,” Charlotte says, but she smiles at both of them. “Let’s go. We don’t want to be late. I want to make a good impression on Aidan.”

“He’ll love you,” Kyle promises.

Charlotte pats his cheek. “Then there’s nothing for you to worry about.”

Except I want him to love me too.

Kyle links his arm through Charlotte’s. “Come on, I’m in the mood for a beer and pretzels dipped in cheese sauce.”

“Gross,” Jenny says and leads them out the door.

The Series

The Lambda Award-winning Boystown Mysteries detail the cases of former police officer-turned-private investigator Nick Nowak. Set in Chicago and covering the period between 1981 and 1984, the ten books follow Nick as he struggles with memories of his abrupt departure from the CPD and the end of his long-term relationship with librarian Daniel Laverty. He moves through a series of casual tricks until he meets homicide detective Bert Harker with whom he begins a tentative relationship.

As cynical and difficult as the city he calls home, Nick doggedly pursues his cases and often solves them out of sheer stubbornness. He relies on help from a charming cast of characters, who provide clues and comfort in equal measure. Beyond the mobsters and murderers, Nick encounters a larger villain looming on the horizon. A villain who begins striking down Nick’s friends and lovers, bringing the freewheeling fun of the early eighties to an end.

Review: Twenty-One Arrow Salute (The Order #2.5) by Kasia Bacon

An archer’s heart is a hard target to hit…

Verhan Tŭrryés of Black Mountain is a handful.

Freshly enlisted in the Highland Regiment, he does all he can to steer clear of responsibility and commitment. Just not his cup of mead, that. Loose of tongue and even looser of morals, he rarely misses an opportunity to get into trouble—and into the other archers’ knickers, too.

In a unit composed almost entirely of Dark Elves, Hernan Seinnés, with his green eyes and auburn hair, is an outsider. When Verhan, up the creek again, is blackmailed into helping Hernan, he never expects to fall for him. But during the long hours spent training Hernan for the Honour Guard, feelings strike the Highlander right in the heart—and with the force of an arrow.

Unversed in relationships, Verhan finally plucks up enough courage to tell Hernan how he feels, only to drive the AsirhwÓ±nian away instead. If Verhan can swallow his pride, he might get one last chance to show Hernan what he means to him—and maybe this time he can hit the mark.

I don’t know how she does it but Kasia Bacon shreds my heart over and over again and I only want to beg her for more. She has become the queen of the stories that are short on pages but heavy on angst, UST and a fantastic payout. You get her very own version of an HEA that is never quite finished because her characters are so complex, a single moment or even a dramatic declaration is never an end, it’s just a pause for something even better.

As this is book 2.5 in The Order series, I do recommend reading the first two books so you get a feel for this world and the characters involved. The author does an amazing job with bringing you into the Highlands and the world of Dark Elves, assassins, archers and unmistakable gorgeous attraction, lust and yes love that demands every ounce of your attention so skipping anything in this series would be a disservice.

Now, having said that… OMG! This book just about did me in! Who knew that a horny brat named Verhan would work his way under my skin and have me rooting for his happiness? Well, I do have a soft spot for redeemable jerks but Verhan isn’t a jerk, he’s just young and upfront and not used to emotions that overwhelm him when he least expects it, but someone should have warned him about the innocent seduction of a ginger; its sharper than any archers arrow… even cupids.

I loved the hell out of this story. There is always something about the reluctance of someone who is asked to teach another how to do, anything and find love through it. Though way off the subject, I kept thinking of Dirty Dancing while reading this through on the third time and how Johnny Fell hard for Baby when he wasn’t looking for it, but through his teaching her how to dance, he fell and fell hard. Verhan isn’t looking for love, he’s fine hopping from bed to bed regardless of gender getting off but Hernan isn’t just another archer who needs help, he needs to train on the mountain bow to be the center shooter for the twenty-one arrow salute during the celebration of the Queen’s Namesday. Hernan is this fresh faced redhead who is willing to learn anything from Verhan and I do mean anything.

Goodness. I really don’t know how to review this without being all fangirl about it. This has a lovely slow burn to the romance and it gives you enough details about the training for the twenty-one arrow salute without knocking you over the head with the details. Kasia Bacon knows how to effortlessly blend the fantasy world with imparting modern language to make this fresh and exciting. I am not one who knows a lot about archery and yet I can see every bit of this training on the mountain bow and then the actual event? Stunning. Just stunning.

But the slow burn between Verhan and Hernan is what I came for and I got everything I ordered. I just loved watch Verhan try to stay professional with his student all while learning that he wants no one but this redhead who makes him feel lust and love and want a future together. Of course, these feelings are so new to Verhan that when he thinks he’s lost his chance, he reverts back to his old ways but good lord does he know how to make things right.

Now, I have to say as per the norm with these stories, I want more. The end? It left my romantic heart sighing but also flipping off my Nook that it was over. But good books do that, make you feel all the emotions right?

Um, have I said anything? Have I said how adorable Hernan is and how I just want to hug him as he rambles his stories to Verhan when he gets comfortable and how responsive he is to a first kiss? Have I said how the end made me gasp while Hernan fixed himself properly and the reveal… I acted just like Verhan because I wanted it just as bad? How the cover of this book is perfection and when you get why, goosebumps. Seriously.

Ugh. This book. Three times reading it wasn’t enough that I think I need to go back and read all the books again just to get lost in this world and hope that we see these two again in the next series installment.

Can you tell this was a good book? No? Well, read it and see for yourself. In fact, read the whole series and everything by the author and then come join me in the mezzanine of the Kasia Bacon fangirl section.

Kay?
Thanks.
