Review: Three by R.J. Scott

Mark is finding his way in life after six years in the army. He's always wanted to write scripts for TV, and for one show in particular, Tomorrow's Game.

Half in lust already with the lead actor Zach, he is shocked when he ends up in Zach's bed. Not just that, but Zach's co-star Rob is part of the package.

Is this just hot sex or can two become three?

An erotic MMM short from RJ Scott, based on a previous story from 2010. Rewritten, re-edited and re-released.

I'm going to be completely honest here: I read ‘Three’ for the sex. In my defense, it’s been a while since I’ve read a hot threesome, and I can count on RJ Scott to deliver in the sex scene department.

Recently out of the army, Mark Gatlin decides to take a shot at his dream of becoming a screenplay writer. Mark decides to visit the set of one of TV’s biggest shows with his script in hand, where he gets to meet Zach Cassidy and Rob Kelly, the show’s stars and objects of his deepest fantasies. Things start looking even better when the three of them land in bed together.

When I saw that RJ Scott had written an MMM book, I had to get my hands on it. This short story flows much as you would expect it to. We’ve got a meet cute, some flirting and bonding, a growing attraction, and then three men engaging in some lovin’.

And it was hot. You can’t go wrong with three big guys going at it. The bit of kink was an unexpected bonus. I’m not going to say no to some bondage.

While ‘Three’ is mostly erotica, there is a bit of angst and relationship development at the tailend. I can’t decide whether that’s a positive or not. On the one hand, the touch of romance was nice. On the other hand, romance and erotica don’t always pan out well together in short stories.

In this case, inserting the romance made me want to know more about how Mark, Zach, and Rob got to a point where their relationship worked, which left me just a tad unsatisfied.

Overall, ‘Three’ is a quick, sexy, and enjoyable read. If you’re looking for an easy filler read and are a fan of RJ Scott, I’d recommend it.
