GIVEAWAY TIME with Perie Wolford and the audiobook of Turning 16

Sam never liked his birthdays because not a single one of them was happy...

When he turned 1, he fell face-down into his birthday cake; when he turned 5, he broke his left arm and when he turned 7, he broke his right arm and his left leg; when he turned 12, his house caught fire. Now Sam is about to turn 16 and he is dreading the day.

The only birthday wish he has is for Jake who is the Mr. Popular of Arcadia High to even acknowledge his existence, or better yet give him a happy-birthday kiss.

But Sam knows that it’s not gonna happen. Or is it?

Turning 16 is out on Audible and our very dear friend Perie Wolford is here to give YOU a copy.

Yeah, Merry early Chrismakwaanzaka right? I love this series and you can check out my original review for Turning 16 here and Turning 17 here. Perie does justice to the teen years so well and if you haven't checked out the series yet, you really need to and what better way than to get a gifty from the author himself!

He's got a sackful of coupons to give away so, you know the drill:

Leave us contact information (preferably email) in the comments and the first 25 commenters will receive a coupon for a FREE copy of Turning 16 thru Audible. Get signed up by 12/31/14 to get your copy!

Feel free to share a story about what turning 16 meant for you too. The more embarrassing the better and then you'll know you can relate to Sam!

Thanks to Perie for coming by to visit and for being his awesomely generous self!

  2. Wow turning 16 was pretty uneventful for me, I was a quite studious person who spent more time in the library reading than making friends and my birthday happens to fall during the summer holidays so did not receive much or any attention when I was at school. Now if you asked about any subsequent birthdays then I might have had a tale or two to tell you... LOL :)

Seasonal Greetings to you all and thank you and Perie for the giveaway. It would be fun to listen to this story as an audible book. slholland22 {at} hotmail {dot} com

  3. I really enjoyed this story when I read it and would love to listen to the audio. 16 was a long time ago, not that I am trying to date myself but hey.

  4. Is it sad that I can't really remember what turning 16 was like? Mostly I just didn't have anything super exciting or devastating happen. Just your average birthday. :)

  6. Oh man I remember turning 16. We had a birthday party for me. I went upstairs to do something. ON my way down I noticed the noise level was very loud. I stopped on the stairs and yelled" Shut up or I'll beat you" only that is not what came out. To my horror I yelled Shut up or I'll eat you to a room full of 16-17 year old. The silence was deafening for a second or two then hysterical laughter. Memories are long. At my recent 30th class reunion it was discussed.

  12. I remember by 16th well, even if it was low-key. My parents got me a beautiful gem stone ring, my first real piece of grown-up jewelry, and then we spent the day with family friends.

This is pretty exciting and generous of you. Your book would be a first since I've never read your work or listened to an audiobook before. Thank you so much! peachescon(at)gmail(dot)com

  23. Missed out on being one of the first 25 commenters, ah well, it's Christmas and you never know what Santa is going to bring? I remember my 16th birthday party so well, in fact friends still talk about it! I thought myself so cool and sophiscated and was trying to impress a boy I had been drooling over, went to the loo quickly and no one told me on my return that the back of my dress had somehow got caught up in my panties and my entire backside was exposed! Never ever want be 16 again! l.lesar@sky.com
