Guest Review: A Daddy for Christmas (Unexpected Daddies #2) by Victoria Sue

One month.

After the death of his boy two years ago, Daddy Dom Jacob Morrison decides he cannot ever open his heart up to that sort of pain again, despite being drawn to the sort of boy Lucas seems to be.

Four weeks.

After spending the last seven years nursing his mom, Lucas Dryden is facing Christmas without any family but isn't sure if having a Daddy is something he wants.

Twenty-eight days.

Will that be enough time to see if two lonely men finally get the Christmas and the happy ever after they both need or will they discover that getting what they want for Christmas is easy.

Keeping it for longer might be impossible.

Jacob has decided he can’t take any more loss, so he’s not going to have any relationships. He’s safe that way, but not happy. He’s going to move away and start fresh. He’ll sell the house he’d been happy in, and that will be that.

Then Jacob comes across Lucas.

Lucas has had it really hard. Nursing his mom until she died means he hasn’t really lived for himself, but he knows he wants a daddy. Will the short term agreement scratch the itch or ruin him for other men?

Jacob made me quite cross at the start. I knew he was just trying to protect himself from loss, but he was being a jerk about it! Lucas so needed someone to take care of him for once, and I warmed to him from the start, but I wasn’t convinced I could care about Jacob!

They agree to a fixed term relationship, but here in romancelandia, we know how that goes! Jacob could be the man Lucas needs - and when he went back for Lucas’ mother’s furniture I was officially team Jacob for the win! I was on tenterhooks waiting for the Daddy in Jacob to do his thing, and though there were tears, the HEA was a delight in the end.

I received a free copy of the book in exchange for an honest review.
