If you haven’t yet visited Rainbow Island, I do recommend it. The setting is an island so instead of taking the fuck truck to pound town, you’re taking a boat, but whatever, it’s a nonstop bone-a-palooza and everyone gets a happy ending in every sense of the word.
Three New Wishes is book three set in the luxury hedonistic resort that is Rainbow Island. The setups are essentially the same throughout and the only constant characters are James, Damian and Guard, the islands owners. The three have been in a menage relationship for years and have been having a rough go of it lately. Three New Wishes gives these guys their resolution which was nice (and dirty) to read.
As far as the guests who come to fulfill their fanstasies, there are always three guests and then J, D and G make sure their needs are met with the perfect match and, don’t be shocked now, but these guys all end up with their own HEA’s. It’s Sean Michael so the road to the HEA is paved with dildos, butt plugs, penis plugs and in Three New Wishes, all the accoutrements that come with puppy play, plus lots and lots of jizz.

Stories one and two are all about D/s dynamics. Both have characters that are learning the ropes so the D/s isn’t too intense and because it’s Sean Michael it’s heavy on the insta-love and heavy on the romance. The love and romance balances out the spankings and urethral sounds quite nicely. I liked the sub, Mike, who was hired for fantasy #2, he may not have been the one who paid to be there, but the fantasy he didn’t even know he had was fulfilled. I totally got the connection between Mike and Brendan.
Story three is about an established couple looking to expand their kink repertoire with some puppy play. They already live a D/s lifestyle so these two dudes are totally in sync and fully in love, this trip is just a chance to get away, reconnect and try out some new shenanigans. It was all about pushing boundaries and figuring out what aspects of a new flavor of play works for them and what doesn’t. That came with a lot of sweet talk and communication which is paramount to experimentation.
And while I jest a bit about the sheer amount of boners, voluminous levels of jizz and OTT romance, an important thing I think Sean Michael accomplishes is normalizing the kink. By wrapping penis plugs and butt plug tails in cotton candy, the once intimidating becomes more approachable. The pretty package is more apt to open up some minds to consensual experimentation and how is that not an awesome byproduct of some sugar kink?
