Guest Review: Hold Safe (Safe Biker Daddy Bodyguards #3) by Sue Brown

Mo is content with the quiet life. Once upon a time he had his happy ever after, but that ended. Now he’s being asked to guard an ego-driven businessman who has no idea how much danger he’s in. He should say no.

A successful CEO, Joseph is used to most people saying yes. He’s not convinced ‘yes’ is in this bodyguard’s vocabulary. Every decision he makes, Mo vetoes. Joseph is furious. He’s the one in charge. Isn’t he?

They are dealing with escalating danger and increasing tension between them. Joseph is convinced he’s a Daddy. Mo knows Joseph is a boy. Will Mo keep Joseph safe and show him his true place?

Our first meeting with Joseph and Mo is in a noisy boardroom and Joseph is not very likeable. His bratty and superior behaviour is due to his fear though, and the inability to trust most people around him. Mo has been drafted in to keep Joseph alive. Mo is good at what he does, and can spot from a mile away that Joseph is a boy who needs a daddy in the worst way! Unfortunately for Joseph, Mo had his own special boy in the past, but he left Mo broken hearted, and Mo is no longer looking.

The security team does not know where the threats towards Joseph are coming from, or why, and there have been one too many close calls. Enter Mo. A hard-assed biker bodyguard who only works one-way: his own. Consequently the sparks fly from the outset and the story has many twists and turns before the shocking revelation about who is trying to kill Joseph. Will Mo be able to keep Joseph safe, and make him happy? The daddy kink aspect is rather beautiful as Joseph endeavours to goad Mo into being his daddy temporarily, and the fact that Mo has a ‘little space’ playroom is romance book perfection.

The story is nicely written, exciting and funny, with an exploration of daddy kink to boot. Mo has his work cut out with Joseph, but the men sharing their softer sides to each other is a joy. The happy ending is lovely and I grew to care about both the main characters, although it took me a little while!

I was given a free copy of the book in exchange for an honest review.
