Review: Trex or Treat by Tara Lain

Josh Harris is all dad all the time. A busy college professor and devoted single father, Josh tries to be happy with only his son for company. But then Bradley “Trex” Trexler moves in across the street with his stepbrother, Bogo, and takes advantage of their empty home, making it into a haunted house for Halloween.

Josh's son, Ernie, can't wait to go, so Josh dresses up like a movie cowboy and saunters over. It’ll be the best Halloween of Ernie’s life, but there’s another sharpshooter roaming the dark corridors, and this one might have a special treat for Josh….

3 Halloween Hearts!

I wanted a little spooky spirit to get me going for the fall, and this shorty was just the ticket!

Assuming this is typical Tara Lain, this was a little over the top, a lot enthusiastic, with fast simple easy progression to the good stuff. *wink*

Single dad and slightly older professor Josh, spies his new neighbor Trex, moving in across the street with his younger half brother. When Josh discovers Trex is a grad student/TA at the college he works at and not completely off limits, Josh dares to hope there might be something more between them. Thankfully, Trex does an annual haunted house so there’s no better way to feel things out other than to dress up and enthusiastically participate!

Don’t be surprised that things move very quickly between these two, but that can’t be helped seeing as this is only 34 pages. An enjoyable story that’s basically pwp, which was just what I needed to put me in the mood for more upcoming holiday reads!
