Oh my gosh, this festive treat gave me all the feels! What a joyful book!

Anyhoo, this is a super tale of a man who has lost his way a little being forced to see the error of his ways. The best bit of course, is that he does!

Ned’s husband leaves him and he is in shock. After his horrible treatment of the dog outside the pizza place draws the attention of a very special Santa, Ned finds a very different side to himself.

Jake, our other leading man is a super sweet and hardworking fellow who has lost a lot. He doesn’t want to foster another dog so soon after losing his beloved Coco, but the dog shelter manager has no other option for this special hound. Ned and Jake are made for each other and the dog-owner dynamic doesn’t change that. When tragedy strikes and Dog/Ned has to act quickly, there were tears on my face. BG soon turns that around with a twist I wasn’t expecting (and honestly didn’t love) and we get our much needed HEA.

One of the smart things about this story (there are many) was how Ned was able to find closure with his husband, and be happy for him to move on. There are plenty of laughs included too, Ned’s best friend Lil is fabulous.

This is a beautifully written, warm and cosy festive gem. Perfect for those who love a Christmas romance, especially those who love their furry family!
