Anniversary Shenanigans: Author Visit & Giveaway with Lilia Ford

Today we welcome to the clubhouse Lilia Ford-up and coming author who brings the dark to erotica, tentacle aficionado and Sterek enthusiast.

Let me just plant this seed…

Jellyfish have tentacles, you know…

What are your favorite M/M themes?

Though I read everything, I definitely prefer darker fics, stuff with consent issues, real conflict and power differences between the leads. I like ruthless characters and even slightly villainous ones. That being said, I read a lot of werewolf fics and they can be very fluffy in every sense of the word.

What books do you consider Desert Island Keepers?

Number one in my go-bag would be P. L. Nunn’s Bloodraven. After that, I’d probably grab Lyn Gala’s Claimings, Tales and Other Alien Artifacts, Lisa Henry’s Dark Space, K. J. Charles’ Magpie Lord series, and something by Kari Gregg, either Collared or Omega Mine, and maybe Z. A. Maxfield’s Physical Therapy when I needed to be reminded why I love the beach.

What's your go-to tasty beverage?

Coffee, Coffee, Coffee.

Do you have any secret talents? Inquiring minds want to know.

I bake. A lot. Cookies, cakes, fruit crumbles, brownies. Everything but pies, which I suck at. I like to experiment with whole grains and have even devised my very own, should-someday-make-me-famous Multigrain chocolate chip recipe, which I swear tastes better than the regular flour version. (If you’re curious, the recipe is on my website under ‘fun stuff.’)

If you had to choose to be one magical beast, what would it be and why?

Well, I did take one of those internet quizzes about this very topic, and I did get unicorn, so I have the backing of unimpeachable authority on this.

Who's your favorite porn star?

I have to answer Colby Keller since he’s the only one I’ve actually heard of. I even saw him once in person, which would be cooler if I’d known who he was at the time. But after I saw a few videos, I realized I’d been in the presence of true greatness.

Any new projects you're currently working on?

I’m almost always working on about seven different books at once. At this very moment, I am finally making some real progress on a prequel to The Slave Catcher entitled “Classified Defiant,” which takes place on earth and features Elia, Liam and Adon Burad. I am also really excited about a new M/M vampire story entitled “Thorn.”

Good answers are good! This is why I like this author so much. She's a girl after my own heart. I don't know about you guys but I'm sprinting to her website to get that cookie recipe.
