What are your favorite M/M themes?
Oh
crikey. Not sure I could choose. Depending on how well it's written, I
could go for anything. But I do like pairings where the guys are about
the same age and not young adults, I like one to be dark and unsmiling
and other to be funny, I like MM suspense stories rather than coming of
age ones or BDSM, but I like hard, rough, bad guys and not
sweet ones. What books do you consider Desert Island Keepers?
Junction X by Erastes, The Charioteer by Mary Renault, The boy I love by Marion Husband, Bone Rider by J.
Fally, Compulsion by Clare London, Freeman by Clare London - oh I could go on.
What's your go-to tasty beverage?
Black coffee when I'm working. Mojito when I can get one!

I
can wriggle my ears. I used to be able to put my legs behind my neck
when I was lying down - sadly, I have a hip issue that means I can't do
that anymore. Er - probably why I have the hip issue. I can tie knots in
cherry stems with my tongue. I can sunbathe for England! I can read
very quickly - 80 pages in 30 minutes on average.
If you had to choose to be one magical beast, what would it be and why? (you don't have to say unicorn...but we won't say neigh either)
LOL - Can I be a fallen angel? Do they count? I'd love wings and to be able to fly but I'm
too bad to be one of the good guys. This choice could very well be influenced by my work in progress though.

Do you have author envy? Whose words do you read and think, "GAH, I wish I wrote that!"?

the time! I think almost every book I've ever read has some sentence in
there that I admire, even if I've not liked the book.
Any new projects you're currently working on?
A
paranormal MM about a demon and an angel. I know everyone thinks that
genre is done and gone but this is a follow up to 'Bloodline' my story
about a vampire and a faerie. I like to switch around genres when I'm
writing because it keeps it more interesting. In the pipeline I have two
MMs coming out next year with Samhain and also an MMF that is under
consideration with a publisher at the moment. Then I have to write
another MM to complete the little series for Samhain. A writer's work is
never done!

ReplyDeleteSo far I've only read "Every Move He Makes"by Barbara Elsborg and, man, did it blow me away! I wish I had even half of her writing skills!
Secret talents...Not so much for me. I'm pretty much an open book. I guess the oddest one would telepathically communicating with my pets, but that probably works with all pet owners right? I wouldn't say it's that much of a talent LOL
Anyway, congrats for all your hard work!

DeleteThank you, I enjoyed Barbara's inquisition, I also like the darker anti-hero, or grump bear, and I also loved the pairing in Cowboy's Down. I do read pretty fast, but I also re-read if I love the book during my fast scan and re-read until all its secrets are unfolded. I could sun burn for Britain, as I am very pale and freckle instead. That's sort of happened to me - I actually once was convinced something was the truth - some legal issue - until my family pointed out, it had been on a TV show the previous night. My memory!! Eek,
