Anniversary Shenanigans: Author Visit and Giveaway - Mary Calmes

Today we have with us *drumroll please* MARY FREAKING CALMES!!!!!!

BMBR: What are your favorite M/M themes?

Mary: I have favorite romance themes like hurt/comfort and friends to lovers, but I can’t think of any that are just specifically just M/M. The ones I love are more universal.

BMBR: What books do you consider Desert Island Keepers?

Mary: There are simply too many to list. We have so many outstanding authors in our genre and I have three bookcases at home devoted to them. 

BMBR: What's your go-to tasty beverage?

Mary: Revive Vitamin water. There are 10 in the refrigerator as we speak waiting for me.

BMBR: Do you have any secret talents? Inquiring minds want to know.

Mary: Does annoying my husband count? He always says it’s a gift.

BMBR: If you had to choose to be one magical beast, what would it be and why? (you don't have to say unicorn...but we won't say neigh either)

Mary: I’d choose to be a shifter because when you shift, your metabolism burns and then when you’re done you have to eat and basically…I’d never have to diet again!

BMBR: Who's your favorite porn star?

Mary: Brent Corrigan

BMBR: Do you have author envy? Whose words do you read and think, "GAH, I wish I wrote that!"?

Mary: Amy Lane, Damon Suede, Rhys Ford, again so many.:)

BMBR: Any new projects you're currently working on?

Mary: Currently I’m working on the last Change of Heart book and the third Mangrove book. :)
A new Change of Heart book?!?!?  Ahem.  Pardon me.  I'll just be over here, dying of anticipation.

About the author:

Mary Calmes lives in Lexington, Kentucky, with her husband and two children and loves all the seasons except summer. She graduated from the University of the Pacific in Stockton, California, with a bachelor's degree in English literature. Due to the fact that it is English lit and not English grammar, do not ask her to point out a clause for you, as it will so not happen. She loves writing, becoming immersed in the process, and falling into the work. She can even tell you what her characters smell like. She loves buying books and going to conventions to meet her fans.
